Welcome to Borden Primary School

Welcome to our website. Borden CEPS is a small village school just outside Sittingbourne in Kent. Our 128 children are all well behaved, hard working and always try their best. Our teaching and support staff are all well behaved, hard working and always try their best!

We are very pleased to announce that Mr Corfield has taken over as our new Headteacher from September 2011.

Our children play an important part in our village whether at church or supporting local societies and charities.

Our SATs results each year put us firmly in the top 10% of primary schools in the country. We send around 30-40% of our Year 6 children to the local grammar schools. The rest of our children do us proud when they attend the other three secondary schools in Sittingbourne, all of whom have very good growing reputations.

We are by no means perfect but we do try very hard to help all our children reach their potential.

We are very proud of our Outstanding rating in 2008. To see the full report, download the PDF, or view on screen in the Ofsted website by clicking on the icon on the left.

Take a look around our school and view the children's work.

  Ofsted said……

“This school is outstanding. Parents are correct in believing that their children receive an excellent all-round education and, as one rightly observed, ‘Borden School is a great small school that has very high standards.’ The outstanding quality of relationships and the caring environment help all pupils to grow in confidence and self-worth. Their academic performance and personal development, including their behaviour, are excellent. The vibrant curriculum also enables pupils to develop their creative, practical and sporting abilities to high levels. The talented and greatly committed staff have high expectations of pupils and prepare them extremely well for learning and adult life.”
